These are some of the Image Managers you can have on your site.
This
page is fairly graphic intensive - you
wouldn't usually have this variety
or number of effects on a single page.
Please allow some time for the page to
load completely.
These
examples represent a small selection of
the effects, materials, typography and
colors that are available.
Some
of these image managers might not work,
or even be visible, depending on which
version of which web browser you are
using, and various settings in the web
browser and your computer’s
operating system. They usually work with
most version 4 or newer web browsers.
Note that some versions of Netscape
don't get along well with pages
having this many large animations, and
might display this page very slowly.
Rotating “Ad” Banners
- Automatically displays a series of
images within a “banner”
format. You specify which images (and
what size) to display, associate a transition with each image, set the amount of time each image is displayed, and specify a URL linked to each image. Transitions available are column, fade, rotate up, smash down, tear left, and unroll up as displayed in this example that is set to change the image about every two seconds:

Picture Rollover
|
|
This is a
two-step
rollover; you see the first image until the mouse pointer rolls over the image, which is then replaced by the second image. When the mouse pointer rolls off the image, the first image will reappear.
|
This is a
three-step
rollover; you see the first image only until the mouse pointer rolls over the image, which is then replaced by the second image. When the mouse pointer rolls off the image, the third image will appear. The web page must be reloaded to see the first image again.

Rotating Pictures
- Displays up to 50 different and clickable images in succession
at the same location on the web page. This is similar to the “Rotating Ad Banner”
but no transitions. You specify the image to display and the number of seconds
delay before displaying the next picture in the sequence. For example, these three
images of my DJ Services booth at a bridal show change at about 5-second
intervals:
Picture “pop-up”
- Creates and displays a thumbnail view of a photo from the
“full sized” image, then displays the “full size” photo in a separate window when
the mouse pointer is clicked, on the thumbnail. The popup window closes when
you click to close. For example, click on this thumbnail image:
Time Based Pictures
- Displays up to 24 different images in sequence, at the same
location on the web page, at the time of day you specify (based on the clock of
the viewer’s computer). You select the image to display and specify the hour at
which to display it. The web browser automatically displays the image at the
specified time as determined by the viewer’s computer’s clock. The image
remains on the page until it is time for the next image to be displayed. For
example, these images change at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock.

colors, the scroll speed, and text style used to display the messages.
