These are some of the various navigation aids you can have on your site.
Some
of these navigation aids might not work,
or even be visible, depending on which
version of which web browser you are
using, and various settings in the web
browser and your computer’s
operating system. They usually work with
most web browsers that were released
within the past few years.
All of the navigational aids on this page are active.
If you click on one, you will go to that page.
Rollover Navigation Buttons
- Your site’s navigation buttons appear to change as the mouse pointer moves on or off the button. The button and text color, the text font, and more are customizable, and the bar can be horizontal, or vertical. For example, roll your mouse pointer on and off these buttons:
“Text” Navigation
- Your site’s pages are listed by name. This is often used at the
bottom of a page, as an alternate form of navigation in case a visitor’s web
browser does not support a graphical navigation system like Rollover buttons, or
Cascadia menus. For example:
“Go” Menu
- A drop-down navigation menu, with up to 50 menu items, and each
item corresponding to a single page in your web site or somewhere else on the
internet. Available in three styles:
Style # 1 “Forms button”
Click the “Down” arrow, then click on a list item, then click the “Click” button.
Style # 2 “No button”
Click the “Down” arrow, then just click once on a list item.
Style # 3 “Custom button”
Click the “Down” arrow, then click on a list item, then click on a “custom” button.
Bread Crumb Navigation
- Text navigation that is different on every page. It
shows the “trail” back to where the visitor came from in your web site, and is
typically located somewhere near the top of the page. For example:
Cascadia Menu
- A “Flyout” button navigation system, as used in this web site.
