Your web site is a way for people to learn more about you, it is not a way for people to find out about you.
If you will be depending on people going to your web site as the result of finding your web site in the search engines, you are doomed.
To get people to your web site, you will have to put your web site address on everything. For example:
There
are also many link and banner exchange
programs, pay-per-click advertising on
search engines, paid-inclusion, and
many, many more
“promotional” possibilities.
If you want to participate in any such
promotional program, it is up to you to
investigate each program, weigh the pros
and cons of each, then decide which one
is right for you and pay your money.
Some examples of paid advertising systems are:
- Google’s Adwords
- Position Technology’s Direct Submit
I
neither recommend nor endorse any of
these services or systems. They are
listed here solely for your
convenience.
Feel free to ask for an opinion on a particular service or type of advertising, but I won’t recommend any particular such service, because I don’t know your target audience, your marketing strategy, or your advertising budget.
After
(if) you sign up for a service, then
contact me and I’ll get it added
to your web site.
