If your web site is hosted on my service, then you have a
vDeck Control Panel. This is
where you can set up and configure your
E-mail accounts and spam filters, your
search engine submission service, and
check your web site statistics.
You can access your vDeck Control Panel from any computer that is connected to
the Internet, and using any computer operating system (Windows, Apple/MAC,
LINUX, etc.), and using any web browser (Firefox, Opera, Netscape, Internet
Explorer, etc.).
Go to this web address:
http://www.yourdomainname
/vdeck/
for example: http://www.mycat.com/vdeck/
Enter the username and password that I sent to you via E-mail. The password IS
case-sensitive.
Adjacent to where it says “Restrict admin session to this IP address”, there should
NOT
be a tick in the box. If there is a tick in the box, click once in the box to
remove the tick.
Click on the “login” button.
There is very little that you can do in your vDeck Control Panel to damage your
web site or E-mail accounts (but damage can happen). If you are not sure about a
setting or option, please click on “Help”. If you are still unsure, ask me.
After you have logged in to your vDeck Control Panel, then you can:
When you are done with vDeck, remember to click on the "logout" link.
